Uganda is the #1 county with the friendliest people you can find on earth, they are warm welcoming, and always hospitable to newcomers. Most expats live in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda where English is widely spoken and international restaurants exist in large numbers but English is a primary language and residents are always eager to welcome foreigners.
Uganda was named the most diverse country on earth by a study from Harvard University. When you’re planning your trip it will be better to include cultural safaris on your itineraries just for few hours meeting the local community and explore their life, ask for opportunities to attend some ceremonies where possible. All these will give you a REALLY experience with Uganda that you can never get anywhere else watching remotely!
Uganda has over 50 tribes with about 40 languages some tribes share languages or a few words but they may not necessarily have the same meaning. Each tribe has unique culture and customs, music, dance, and a way of preparing the meals(unique foods).
The current and active ceremonial kingdoms are mainly Bantu Kingdoms of Buganda, Bunyoro, Busoga, and Tooro.
Ugandan tribes come from 3 major groups namely Nilotic, Bantu, and Sudanic groups.
